When I started comedy many years ago, a lot of comedians then were bearing nicknames that started with Baba..I then decided to choose a nickname too that will start with Baba. So, I thought of which name to use. One of my friend had a girl friend bearing the name Suwe and I decided to use it. Hence, the name BABA SUWE!
Who is your role model or someone that you respect so much in the movie industry?
Baba Sala! I respect him so much.
Who can you boast of, that you brought to lime light in the movie industry?
Quite a lot but I can confidently say Opebe.
Many years back, you used to be in almost all the new movies but not so these days?
Well, that’s true! There is time for rain and there is time for sunshine.
What are your saddest and happiest moments in your life?
Well, the most saddest day of my life is what you all know. I was on my way to paris and I was arrested at the airport by the NDLEA for a crime I know nothing about. A lot of people, especially those who dont know the secret of my success said a lot of negative things about me. But I thank God for seeing me through and all those who believed in me.
..and happiest Moment
Many things make me happy but I am extremely joyous that I have my own house.
Talking about your experience with NDLEA, what about the N25M…?
Let me make this clear once and for all because I don’t want robbers to start chasing me..up till now, I have not recieved any money from anybody.
Any movie in regard to this?
Of course, it won’t be a good thing if I dont produce a movie in regard to this. I am currently working on it and you will know when it is ready.
What’s the movie title, Oyagbeti, Igbedowo or what?
(laughs)..No title for the movie yet. I will give it a title at the final stage.
